189. Lust Doesn’t Last

We strive not to get too attached
Trying to ignore than lust doesn’t last
Seems the norm is to be detached
Wanting to numb the pain left by the past

Lots of closets try to hold skeletons
We hide behind superficial standards
Placing more emphasis on genitals
Instead of the heart, we have it backwards
Aesthetics count more than intelligence
Ripped bods seem to matter more than manners

To have someone love your core from within
You don’t always have to expose your skin
The right person will make it their goal
To embrace the wonder of your soul
Believe it or not, you truly deserve
To have someone get lost in your universe
