A tiny country invaded by conquistadors
No one thinks much when they mention El Salvador
Maybe notorious due to MS-13
And for decades of struggle with poverty
But we carry a unique passion in our hearts
Daring to dream big and willing to work hard
On this day of our independence
I rise and choose to make a difference

Esta lleno de pasión y de sueños
Se dirá de mi tierra, "De ahí salió
Palabras transformadoras que vidas cambio"
As a son of the Blue & White
I take advantage of every opportunity
To continue forward and fight
For the American Dream to be reality
