Time just flies, life passes us by

It’s worth slowing down and ask “Why?

What’s the point of all this? What the purpose?

Of all these hardships? What kind of person

Can I become? What sort of lessons

Could I learn? What can be my message?”

It’s so easy to be overwhelmed

With so much pressure and be compelled 

To act out in a futile attempt 

To earn love and some form of respect

I promise to give 100%

In whatever I do, I’ll live with intent

I want to live life out with a purpose

Striving towards a future where it’s just us

You lead me towards a definition of happiness

Time passes and we’ll always be busy

At some point, we’ll mess up our priorities

We can’t ignore those that love and support us

Making time for special people is a must

Not everyone will stand by your side

To lift you up right after you’ve cried

Life will show you how to appreciate friends

They’ll always be there for you, their love transcends 

It’s not hard to spend more time in the office 

So easy to neglect those that care for us

So be sure to spend your time wisely

Greed so rampant, people want their piece

Willing to surrender their inner peace

So anxious to be ahead of the crowd

Stampeding over others, rude and loud

It could be perceived as a sign of weakness

To think of others and showing some kindness

Do it anyways, fighting evil like Jesus

Rise above the pettiness like a strong Phoenix

Let’s try to be more other-oriented

Regardless if others think we’re demented

Changing the world is no easy task
